Students will learn to:
Apply safe, efficient firearm handling during dynamic movement
Engage multiple threats with proper visual processing and target prioritization
Manage recoil and throttle control under higher tempo
Transition between alternative firing positions (standing, kneeling, seated, improvised cover)
Use cover and concealment effectively, reducing exposure while maintaining accuracy
Execute reloads, malfunction responses, and ready positions at defensive tempos
Move with purpose, maintain balance, and shoot while stepping or changing angles
Prerequisites
Students should have:
Completed a basic firearm safety or fundamentals course
Familiarity with holster draw, loading/unloading, and range commands
Ability to maintain muzzle discipline and safe trigger habits
A solid baseline of marksmanship fundamentals
This is not a beginner course.
Required Equipment
Reliable Pistol
350+ rounds of ammunition
Rigid holster (outside or inside the waistband)
Two spare magazines and magazine carriers
Eye and ear protection
Sturdy belt and appropriate clothing for movement
Water, snacks, and optional gloves/knee protection
